Description
This guy is my first ever 100% hand sewn plush. I had many socks monsters my mother mostly made for me when I was a child but this is all mine. Besides 's petal pattern, which I used for the head, the whole pattern, or lack-of, is all mine.
He took in all 8 days to complete with 5-6 hours of sewing a day. His name came from when I was stuffing his body and realized that he was going to be flat, " Oh, crap, he's like a friggin' pancake."
Thus the name Pancake Cat. I was very disappointed in him at first. Many seams just look horrendous because I still haven't figured out how to attach limbs and what not properly. I know to turn the inside out but some parts are just... ugh.
He is a little over a foot tall. Made with fleece, felt, and stuffed with poly-fill.
I decided to use a hot glue gun, like a moron, for his eyes and nose but after attempting a stripe and it coming out awfully I said " screw you, hot glue gun, never again". So under a hand sewn stripe he has a little battle scar from cutting the felt piece off.
Despite his many flaws I've come to love him. After all he is such a cuddly pancake.
I'd also like to credit for making such wonderful Poke plush, which initially got me interested. I salute thee!
